The TEXCOTE® REFLECT-TEC® Coating System is a revolutionary Kynar™ water-based, field applied smooth coating system for tile and metal roofing surfaces and metal wall surfaces. Specially formulated to reflect the sun heat, it can lower roof surface temperatures by over 50 degrees when compared to acrylic/ elastomeric coatings and uncoated roofs in many colors. Lower exterior temperatures mean lower interior temperatures and can lead to peak cooling load reductions*. How REFLECT-TEC® Works
The TEX•COTE® REFLECT-TEC® Heat-Reflective roof coating utilizes infrared heat-reflective technology and state of the art Kynar® Fluoropolymer technology to create a water-based field-applied coating with increased solar reflectance and resistance to dirt, mold, mildew, and other contaminants. This special formulation allows REFLECT-TEC® to reflect infrared heat back in to the atmosphere. Since the infrared portion of the light spectrum is invisible, REFLECT-TEC® can provide lower surface temperatures without changing color.
On a hot day, the sun can beat down on the roof of your home, and your home can absorb as much as 90% of the radiant energy (or heat)!
